How about something a little different for your dog than regular crunchy cookies? Introducing mini-muffins that you can make yourself! These bite-sized treats are easy to put together and are packed with good ingredients like spinach, chicken, and wild rice.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup wild or other rice (I use brown and wild)

1 cup chicken, finely diced

3 tablespoons all purpose flour

3-4 tablespoons chopped fresh spinach leaves

1 large egg, beaten

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly spray a mini muffin tin* with cooking oil.

Add all ingredients to a medium mixing bowl and stir until well combined.

Fill each well to the top with mixture. Press down firmly with the back of a spoon.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden brown.

Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for 3-4 days.

Yield:  Approximately 1 dozen mini muffins.

                        Pro Tip

-To save time, you can buy a cooked rotisserie chicken at the supermarket, as well as ready-to-serve microwaveable rice.*
