Bacon, bacon. What dog doesn't like bacon?!  This dog treat recipe features bacon-y deliciousness and is very easy to make! No hard-to-find ingredients!

INGREDIENTS:

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup bacon grease (liquid, room temp)
1/2 cup water
1 egg

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Whisk the egg, water and bacon grease together in a large bowl.

Mix in the flour, until a dough forms. If the dough too sticky, add a little more flour. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water. Knead dough by hand a few times until smooth.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin 1/4 to 1/2 inch in thickness.

Cut into shapes using a cookie cutter.  Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Prick each treat in a random pattern with fork.

Bake 25 -30 minutes until hard and crunchy.  Allow to cool completely.  Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Yield: Varies depending on the size of your cookie cutter.  For a 2-inch bone shape*, recipe makes approximately 2.5 dozen treats.
