Mom informed us that this year we weren't getting a big birthday party with all our sisters' friends .  Instead, we would each get a "birthday week."  That seemed like somewhat of a BIG FAT GYP, but being sweet, kind dogs, we decided to try to work through our disappointment.  Here is my (Augie's) INFERIOR SUBSTITUTE FOR A ROCKING PARTY...

DAY THREE--THE POSTMAN COMETH

I received a package from my golden retriever cousin, Kimba (we actually ARE cousins), in Brazil! 

What could it be?? 

Sigh.  The brat always has to stick his nose in everything...

There was even an extra surprise in the package for Ti! 

DAY FOUR--THE PARK

And a quick international trip! 

DAY FIVE--THE POSTMAN COMETH AGAIN

Today I got a package from my girlfriend, Sophie!

And this beautiful charm for my collar!

There was a bully stick in the box too!  My favorite!!

DAY SIX--THE POSTMAN IS TIRED OF COMING

Another package came today, this time addressed to both me and Ti...

  It was from our golden pals IN ITALY: Milo, Paco, and Maya!!

Smells interesting...

Look at this!  A whole tower of treats!! 

Each box contained fancy gourmet cookies!!  There were tons!  Another tin held even more cookies and bones!  And yet more cookies in bags!  We had never seen so many cookies ever!  There was a self-inflating balloon, cards, a pen, etc.--Mom nearly went like this --> (but we were going like this --> ).  Here's a sample (minus the cookies we had already eaten, hee hee):

DAY SEVEN -- MY BIRTHDAY!!   

Finally, the day of my birthday dawned, and it's TODAY!!  Mom made me a cake and I got to eat it!
