Our Week and a GiveAway!

Posted on January 30, 2012 at 8:30 PM

Something special went on here last week!  We could hardly wait for the big day!

It was that yearly event known as...  DAD'S BIRTHDAY!

We were SO ready to do whatever Dad wanted!  Eat paper, throw a ball, roll in mud --no sacrifice was too great to make.

We even selected the finest scraps toys from our toybox to give to our Daddy!  See?  Aren't they great?

Now we know what you're thinking.  "Augie and Ti, that's all well and good, but we'd be even more impressed if you baked your dad a cake."  Well, voila!

Happy birthday to the best Daddy in the whole world!

Right after Dad's birthday, the weather turned warm.      Warm!  In January!  We almost went swimming!   But since we don't have a pool, Mom and our little sister took us to the people playground instead.  We went on the swings, climbed the monkey bars, played hopscotch, and shimmied down the slide!  Wheeee!

We had so much fun, we proclaimed ourselves KINGS OF THE PLAYGROUND.  We rock!

But then, tragedy struck.  It snowed!  We tolerated it for a little bit, because there were cookies being tossed...

Little did we know that Mom would Leave. Us. Out. There.  In the FREEZING temperatures.  We made the saddest faces while we waited for someone to call Animal Control to report this abuse...

Then we took matters into our own hands.  We hate to get tough, but sometimes we are pushed to the brink.

Fortunately, Mom is properly trained and let us in.  She even asked, "Beloved pets, what can I do to make the cold weather more enjoyable for you?  Would you like to catch snowballs in the house?  You deserve it, after all."

We love having a mom who understands us.  After our play time, we were ushered onto the couch and tucked in for a nice nap.

We hope someone tucks you in too!

And now, let's have a !!  Would you like to win one of these fine woobies for your poochie?

Samson and Delilah would love to win a new lovey! They don't tear their stuffies up either. They play with them and sleep with them and carry them around, but are very gentle with them. We even have some that are as old as they are.

Not much snow in Maryland yet. It's quite sad for a Bernese Mountain Dog like Jasper. He was born to play in snow.

Anyway, count me in for the competition. Jasper needs a new toy and our mom and dad aren't budging.

Hi there from Brisbane. Loved this latest blog. Those poor, poor frozen faces just begging to be let in out of the cold nearly had me reaching for the phone to call the RSPCA!
Of course we all know how much your mum loves you and throwing snowballs in the house........awesome!!!
Shadow has a teddy bear that is nearly all out of stuffing so he would LOVE to win one of your woobies so please enter us.
Every morning I get up to find woobie guts all over the floor and I fear the bear does not have long to live at this rate.
Thanks for another enjoyable, bring a smile to my face blog!

Duke would really, really love the warthog. He'd love the lamb also, even though he already has one. But he'd really really love the warthog. And he doesn't chew up his woobies, either. It would have a good home. But he'd also really like to know, what is snow?

I love my Dad's Birthday too -- so much tissue paper to chew up, it's great fun. My humans left me out in the snow too..... something about in and out and in and out and picking which side of the door I wanted to be on. Sheeeeeh! Humans!?!

I just love your blog, boys. Your Mom has an amazing sense of humor, and never fails to make my BOL! Chloe already has about as many stuffies as you boys do, but she would love to watch her toy basket over flow even more! She is very kind to her toys, and would give these two a great home.
