Sewing For Dogs and Giveaway Results

Today we'd like to talk to you about BOOKS.    Mom was browsing on Amazon the other day, and she found these:  Knitting With Dog Hair and Crafting With Cat Hair.   Those wouldn't work here, since we shed so very little but it got us thinking:  There are lots of how-to books for humans, but virtually nothing for dogs!  So we present to you:

Now, our book is only in the pre-production stage, but here's a sneak peek of a few of the chapters:

1.  Getting to Know Your Sewing Machine

A sewing machine  has lots of parts for you to get to know, such as the flywheel, the free arm, and the bobbin case.  But do not overlook the most important parts of all:  THE FEED DOGSNow, you might think we're making that up, but would we lie to you?  The feed dogs guide the fabric through the machine and also dispense food if you wish hard enough.

2. SLEEVES

Sleeves are pretty easy to do, once you know how.  Can you make a tube?    There!  You're done.  Some books require you to attach sleeves to armholes, but that seems a bit pretentious.

3.  MASTERING THE ZIPPER

Zippers are quite complicated, and quite unnecessary.  If you want to keep your garment closed, simply apply peanut butter, and press.  Not only will this form a tight bond, but you'll smell good   AND have a snack for later.

4.  MAKING A GARMENT

Once you have mastered the various techniques outlined in the book, it is time to sew a real garment.  Do not be nervous!   You can do it.  True, it will take years of practice to become as good as us, but it will be worth it in the end.

So what do you think?  WE ARE CURRENTLY SHOPPING AROUND FOR PUBLISHERS, so feel free to contact us with your offers!

We have more things to tell you!  First of all, I, Mr. Tiberius, no longer have to suffer with GIRLY COLLARS!  It's true! Mom bought me a he-man collar from Collar Mania Don't I look fab?

And then, we actually got some snow!  OK, it was only an inch, but we were able to create the first snowman of 2012!  YES, we are THAT talented.  (And PS, if you buy our book, you can learn to make a scarf like that!  )

And now for the winner of our dog toy and treats GIVEAWAY!!    We added all the names to Randomized.com, pushed the magic button   and...

Congrats To Laura!    We'll contact you for your mailing address!

One other thing!  Mom got a mini video camera for Christmas  that she can strap to our heads  as a doggy cam.  Is this supposed to be funny?  We are not amused.

Guess what! Mom just got a new sewing machine last week! Maybe she will let us use it so we can make you something! I bet she will because she needs our help- she broke her arm snowboarding this Christmas!
We like the video, but your house is much too clean and making our Mom feel jealous. ;)

I was actually embarrassed to show that video because the house was a mess! I was just trying out the camera, so I hadn't straightened up. Sorry about your arm--yikes!

My guys wanted me to tell you that if you want to learn to quilt come up this way--they love their quilts, but the most they have helped is sleeping on the foot pedal!

Thanks for the laugh this morning ! I needed that. With a little more practice, you two could put out a doggie clothing line :-)))) Love the new collar and hope to see more dog-cam videos.....that was cute !

What a hilarious post! Since Momma knits, she may get that book heheh! Love the new sewing book you're coming out with - waiting for it with baited panting! And we wish we could play in that snow with you, whether 1 inch or 10! There is so much info in this post - we ended up laughing so hard over the dog-cam! That is hysterical (although we can sorta see why you aren't amused heheh!)
